Challenge:

The customer’s requirement was to develop software for evaluation and validation stations for a new generation of CMOS detectors. Built software architecture and communication libraries along with Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) to communicate with 4 different ADCs from Texas Instruments and Analog Devices. The solution allowed for 300 MSPS throughput for 16 bits in continuous mode. A software layer on the FPGA chip and an overarching Windows-based application were developed.
