Fuel injector validation tester

Validation tester for fuel injectors in both gasoline and diesel engines

Challenge:

The customer’s requirement was to use the actual ECU to control the injectors under test. Therefore, an application had to be developed to simulate each of the sensors connected to the ECU (a’ka HIL) such as the fuel pressure sensor, shaft position sensor, accelerator pedal position sensor and many other necessary signals. In addition, it was necessary to control and change the parameters of the fuel fed to the injectors. The tester had more than 100 different signals, worked with pressures up to 3000 bar, and tests lasted up to 3500 hours. Dedicated software was created for manual operation of the station as well as for loading existing test runs from Excel files.
